happy birthday, america

Just a fun little post...because y'all know I LOVE birthdays, and I LOVE America (there's no other country I'd want to call home) AND (fun fact alert...) my mom was actually due to have me on the Fourth of July.  So if I'd been one of the 4-5% of babies who are actually born ON their due date, then America and I would share a birthday!

Our celebration of 4th of July...a pictorial birthday card to the USA, made with photos from our weekend. :)

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?

Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,

O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?

And the rocket's red glare,

the bombs bursting in air,

Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.

Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave

O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Happy 235th Birthday, America!
